Ok i know there has been lots of discussion in the past about this but is the general consensus that its ok to run with the same size all round on the 4WD models ? Has anybody thats been running this setup for a while had any issues?
Im needing front tyres soon & would prefer to run the same all round.

It won't be a problem
Only problem is your not running the manufacturers RECOMENDED sizes
Some have said insurance company's might need to know

If you can get them, and like the style of them, fit Mk1 Hyundai Santa Fe wheels - gives you a bigger world of tyre choice.

Ignore that last bit of this comment - I had in mind my 16 inch wheels.

I've just taken the plunge and gone to same size all round.
I've had good results with these all season tyres
Maxxis AP2. They were great in the snow last season, so I now have them all round. Cheap too !!
They got great reviews against some of the expensive premium winter tyres.

Does this all so apply to 2 wheel drive models as well ?
would be nice to run same size all round and get a full size spare.

Just to add a couple of things...
Mazda originally spec'd thinner tyres for the front to lighten the steering
For anyone with 17" wheels and wanting to make the most of the AWD I can't recommend the following enough:-
Michelin latitude cross 225 55r17
