Hi. I have a set of RX8 alloys and want to know what tyre pressures would be ok for the Bongo. Any ideas please ?

Also, make sure that your tyres have sufficient load rating. Most tyres of that size are below the limit for fitting to the rear of a Bongo and many are only 91, which is not enough for even the fronts.

There is a formula to work it out correctly
Here how to work out caravan tyre pressures carnt see why it would be any different
Just remember its divided by 4 tyres same as a twin axle tyre
Surprise surprise I'm no good at maths
So I haven't tried this for my bongo have done it for me caravan and was quite surprised by the results think it runs in the 50s

I run the bongo 42 fronts and 45 rears

My mate run 92 rated tyres on his granvia he had a feeling they we not rated correctly but decide he would run them anyway as they were brand new and supplied by the converters on import. However after about 10 k the inner and outer edges of all 4 tyres were completely scuffed with no tread left on them and the centre of the tyre looked brand new, they were inflated to 38psi, it's just the side walls could not take the weight. 98 rated van tyres are now fitted, he says it corners better, does not bounce around as much and fuel economy has improved.

My Bongo was running on 92 rated 215/17/50 tyres when i bought it and it was clear the tyre walls were not happy (cracking etc) though they had (luckily?) survived for some time as treads were wearing low. Definitely ensure any tyres are 96+ rated and keep them adequately inflated.
