Top Boxes

I have noticed on this forum that a couple of people have top boxes but have also noticed that a least one of them is an AFT roof. Could a top box be added to a converted tin top left up roof or will that make it too heavy?

Its not just weight, although I fancy it would be too heavy, you need to fix it to something.
The Mazda AFT has fittings.
