Bongo Fury

Wanted to use our rear heater fan for the first time the other way and found that it's sucking rather than blowing. The whole thing is buried under a camper conversion so I'm hoping that someone can suggest a way to reverse the direction, presumably by swapping some connections around, from elsewhere in the vehicle. I would have thought swapping the wires to the motor itself is easiest, assuming you can get to it.

I wonder if it was removed temporarily when the conversion was fitted and accidentaly wired up in reverse.

Not sure if it could be easily incorrectly wired as the plug will only connect one way round, unless it was cut and remade or muddled further up the loom?
Is the overhead vent sucking also?

If the rear motor is where I think it is (under the conversion) I'm not getting to it.

The top vents are blowing properly but of the other two, which have been moved about in the conversion so I don't know original locations, one is not doing anything and the other is sucking. I do have what I assume are the original rear controls still fitted, although they have also been moved.

Sound like it might have the wrong heater blower unit fitted (one with reverse pitch),this has happened a few times .

These units shift a lot of air, I suspect the sucking you are experiencing is the air being drawn in to then be blown out.
The way the ventilators and the flaps inside the box are configured if the fan were turning in the wrong direction then the upper vents would also be sucking.

One image shows the heater unit in situ, the large opening to the right is the air in the other to the left is the air out and the feed to the roof vents.
Another shows the trim panel reverse and the plastic ducting.
The plastic duct is split into two chambers one delivers air from the outlet to the vent at the right of the panel in the other trim image, the other end of the duct supplies the small vent on the left. The second chamber is for the intake.
The size of the grille shown on the right of the panel image gives you an idea of the volume of air the unit draws in.

I would suspect that the floor of a unit is obstructing the left vent.
I dont know what sort of conversion you have but in my Aero there is a fridge sited in front of that vent, once I had removed this I was able to connect a flexible ducting to bring the heat out to a small kick plate mounted vent under the fridge.

...The vents are built in to the bottom of the unit - sadly, I cannot find a picture that shows this :/

That conversion is from a very reputable converter so I would think giving them a call would be an idea .
Another member on here has exactly that configuration maybe he can comment.
I know what you mean about the images **oody infuriating innit!
A picture is worth a thousand words they say. My last reply would have made a lot more sense if you were able to view the images without having to click a link each time.
Initially I thought it a browser issue but I think its to do with the board software as I can post pics on other boards without any problem.

The vents at the bottom are ONLY the inlets, the outlet is at the top, the air is simply recirculated no additional fresh air is added.
