How do I replace my remote central locking key fob thingy?
Had my keys and central locking keyfob actuator (if thats what it is called??!! :? ) stolen today. Got a new key cut onsite in a car park in Swindon (Carkey auto mobile locksmith - excellent service - used a Ford Transit blank - fitted perfectly first time), but no longer have remote locking.
Any help or advice please we live in Bristol.

I would be more concerned in getting the locks changed if some low life has your original keys  oh and a warm welcome

If The tea-leaf has the fob it wont do any good to change the door locks as he could remotley unlock them any way. most good garages know someone who can program a new keyfob

good luck

firstly you have to know what make of car alarm you have, ie....toad, falcon, cobra ect, then do a search on ebay or the net for a fob, then just follow the instructions on how to reprogram the fob to work the alarm/central locking.

generally you stand in front of vehical holding in one or two of the buttons in on the fob depending on which make it is.
