I've just covered 1300 miles to Scotland and back with no problems in a Bongo I bought as a trade sale six weeks previously.
She'll make the journey with no problems I'm sure. Do the basic checks - oil, water, - before you go and when you stop and treat her kindly in the meantime. Carry some pre-mixed coolant, ATF and engine oil and some basic tools and you'll have no problems and a whale of a time.
My next stop's the West Country for the August bank holiday - oo arrrrr!!
