23/03/2000 auto free top , diesel , 2500, AT, side L S differential , 4WD, with hyper sea. From VIN plate thanks to you! PS what is hyper seat?
Lifted left seat looked in (first time) found rubber pipe blanked off (turned thro 180 black plastis clip) think I know what that is!

Hyper seat - could be something along these lines?

Although why anyone would want racing seats in a Bongo is beyond me. Unless you're a 6' 10" basketball player, then it makes sense.

No its called failed translation

The characters are a partial transliteration of the codes used in the original text!
When Lush Projects grabbed the original site (from Mazda parts mtce. manual) it was partially translated using the translation engines of the time which weren't that effective!

Have you got the additional diagnostic port under the dash on the drivers side?

Not sure what year they started appearing. If you have one you're in luck - any OBD-II reader should work.

Pretty certain it was 2004 (possibly late) and till the end of production, but this is only going from dates that have been reported, so the start point is not clear.
