Selling in Autumn or Spring?

Hi guys,
I don't know if it's a myth but I heard that selling campervans in Autumn is not a good idea as you won't get as good a price or as much interest as in Spring/Summer. Just wondered if any of you could back that up, and if so, would it be worth SORNing the vehicle while it's not in use and waiting for next year to sell? I'm just thinking at the moment, haven't made a decision to sell yet...
Thanks

Prices fall after the Summer when those people who thought it would be nice for a holiday sell up as it wasn't their cup of tea! They then start to rise again prior to the next holiday season when those who think they want a cheap holiday buy at any price ......
You may need to consider just what the state of the vehicle will be in after 6 months non use exposed to the weather, air con seals may not be working, tyres may have degraded and the inevitable chassis rust may have taken hold....

Agree with Geoff.
You'll likely spend more getting a vehicle ready to sell after winter lay up than you gain.
Battery could have failed, MoT? Time since service, belts may harden and fail, tyres flat spot, thing in the way for 6 months, fuel gone bad...

You can run the aircon with the heater setting on hot.
Dries the air nicely for demisting.

It does not matter what time of the year you sell your vehicle,if you get the asking price you Sell.
Take care
Good Luck.

Great tip Bob would never have thought about it. Bunged my silica gel bags up in the AFT now
after airing it out fully in the warm sun today, get the last condensation out. Done all my checks and all
is solid under sills arches everywhere...rust free and sealed. Other than this weekends seal off job on a small
bit of surface rust.
Sorting it as you see any small spots of rust really pays off.

There's something in that. I think a good Bongo will fetch a good price regardless of season, a bad one might find a sucker more easily at start of summer and i think that's what some dodgy vendors might bank on.
