Am i from another planet/ time but have i not needed a passport for my own needs since 1980, but work has paid for one for past 20 yrs (ran out 2016) wife still has her Blue one. I was refused hire of some tools because my passport was out of date, but you asked for Photo Id this is me! Do you honestly think i have a photo driving licience ? Mine even allows me to tow a trailer with a motor bike. Point of this ramble is what can i do or not do without photo id and what should i waste my money on.

Isn't it free to change your paper license to a photo card one?

you dont need to go to germany for a diesel, theres a boat full off ramsgate ive heard, low miles too.
