Bongo Fury

Hi my 2001 2l petrol has developed a problem with the air con, it's has a digital display and no matter what mode is selected the air only goes to the foot well unless you put to demister.
I don't what to buy a new unit if I should check anything else that could cause it HELP please.

Hi Checked the linkages and no joy they all are ok, so have to bite the bullet and buy a new digital control unit lol.

Is the servo moving when you select different settings ? If not disconnect that link and see if the servo moves, more likely to be a mechanical problem then an electronic one, if that doesn't identify the fault might be worth checking the servo itself out, may be able to swap with the one in the passenger footwell not sure if they are the same or not ...

I will give that a go when I'm back from doing diy at my daughters and see what happens, will keep you posted.

Good news the problem was caused by a cable coming loose from its anchor point and stopping the vent from opening. It was from the fitting of an after market alarm system.
