Fitting new pulley dowl

Hi I have bought a complete new head from Ava leisure, ho do you fit the new dowel in head for timing pully
You basically tap it in till it bottoms, to make sure it bottoms check the depth of the hole and put a mark on the dowel this chap has videos from start to finish.
