Find the manifold stud!

Please, can you help me spot if the no1 manifold stud is sheared off in these pictures? If it is, am I ok to drive a short distance before getting it repaired on Monday?

Details: Been hearing a small squeal when accelerating (low revs) recently. Last night, I seemed to hear a large whirring noise and could smell a small amount of fumes in the cab. Forum research seems to point to the no1 manifold stud. I've had a look under the passenger seat and think I can spot a hole where the stud should be but I'm not sure. It's hard to spot something which is missing!

I've read most of the posts about the studs on the forums, just wondering if this is the problem I have.
Many thanks all!

Not a great expert but i think the sheared manifold stud problem mainly affects the diesel engine?

Yup only the diesel suffers that as a common problem, most squeals (but not all) come down to loose drive belts.

You need to remove the insulator cover in order to check the studs and the gasket , regarding safety using vehicle, it is not advisable unless you know what the actual problem is especially this type of problem with a Petrol engine. Your mechanic should be able to find this quite easily.
Take care.
