As a Friday treat and before touring season I thought I would try a Millers eco max alternative. Also made in the USA.

Archoil AR6900-D Max Advanced Diesel Fuel Synthesis 1 Litre

FEATURES / BENEFITS

Restores torque, horsepower and fuel economy
Reduces harmful exhaust emissions
Prevents sludge and surface build-up
Dispersant - removes existing solids in the fuel
Lubricant - lubricates the fuel system and upper engine
Detergent - safely cleans injectors and removes deposits
Stabilizer – extends the usable life of fuel
Meets the latest DW-10 performance test
Lowers carbon and reduces DPF regeneration cycles
Protects against corrosion and water emulsion
100% safe and active ingredients
Fully BS EN-590 compliant
No Harms tested
Optimised for and tested on EN 590 pump fuel

It might take a while to find out how it fairs but I got some for £23.96 for 1L so it comes in £4.00 cheaper
than Millers from Halfords at £13.99 a bottle.

I suspect it has a lot of the same qualities but the proof will be in the testing. I will
finish my last bottle of Millers and see how it fairs.

All of this is definitely a huge amount cheaper than putting premium in and with all the fuel pump
issues I keep seeing on here it might pay to keep the fuel system, pump, lines and injectors clean and lubricated.

I know one of my pump seals was a bit dogy as Allens mentioned it 3 years ago, he did the change one of the 2 for us
but suspect the hard to get to one might be less than sealing 100pct. But I have had no problems
starting the Bongo all through the winter, in fact over time I appear to be having less and less.

I suspect it might have also related to which direction I park on a hill when starting. It may be the
case that these products can lubricate the pump seals, possibly anyway. Anyway the Bongo starts instantly
all through winter of late.

I am a believer in the quality fuel additive !
