				Sliding door motor

				Hi all, I have had a look at my sliding door today as it does not soft close..so far I have cleaned all of the contacts,
removed the door panel.
Checked all wiring.
I have power to the contacts and i do hear the module in the passenger pillar clicking.
I rattled the door to see if anything was loose and the motor went half way round and then stopped.
So the motor works but i don't know what is wrong. Where is the micro switch located? I can see a power wire going up towards the back of the door where the side runner is. I tried having a poke around and nothing is working. Normally I would take it to Adrian at Japan Direct but obviously as things are places are closed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

				I have been moving some wires inside and the motor worked briefly when I moved the wires going into the back of the 5npin contacts.
I have removed this now and inspected it and it all looks fine with no breaks etc

				UPDATE.....
I gently pulled the motor away from the back of the door about 10mm and the motor kicked in and would not stop going back and forth until I let go. Once I knew that the motor worked this way i then got out of the van and closed the door but not soft close. I then gently pressed the door from the outside approximately where the motor is and the soft close worked. There must be some sort of micro switch down there that i cannot see. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

				Might be tied up with the normal switch that operates to signal closure of the door and cuts of the lock motion when its closed. Refer to the physical mechanical diagrams for broad details perhaps

				Thanks for your reply Geoff. I am not too bad at most things but reading technical drawings is a bit out of my range. Do you know where the part you are referring to is located please?

				In the lower half of the door there is a rotating closing mechanism;

the switch involved is part of that mechanism, never had to have one out to inspect so can't be any more precise.

				Ok so I have now got a working soft close door again. Maybe something was jammed and needed releasing but it is now working.
Thanks to all who helped
