Bongo Fury

Does anyone on here know where I can find a key switch assembly?
I don't need the barrel, just the end bit.
Here's the score, it works at the moment but keeps chucking out flurries of smoke on the second click, this is clearly not normal.
It is about to be taken apart to assess the state of the contact points but it may well be a case of replacement.
There are complete assemblies available for a modest sum but the barrel is not needed.
If someone knows of a good source, that would make this fella happy.

Are you sure you haven't get an excessive current being drawn! Smoke from a switch can be from grease that has got inside the contact area, but the grease it self only smokes when it is being heated by an excessive current thru dirty contacts, then same can happen with plastic casings, but its the cause of the excessive current you need to locate!

My Father is going to open it up after, his suggestion of someone in time's past spraying something inside may be one explanation, I failed to mention it doesn't do it all the time, only when rotating, after that, it seems to work fine.
A mate thinks he may be able to get hold of one, as a just incase.
It does still work but may eventually start a fire, I get paranoid over anything resembling 12v battery systems, fires start pretty damn quick!

Update: the switch unit has been dealt with, there was a lot of grease inside, this caused things to overheat slightly, it has been cleaned and now works without a problem.
Geoff, thanks for some heads up on what to do, one of your suggestions was correct.

That's good to hear, there can be several causes worse one is WD40 being sprayed in thru thick film of dust gathered on outside of switch! It blows the dust inside into the switch and causes grief!

Cheers for the praise, thought it might be a goner, till I realised it's not made in China!
I'll leave it to the imagination what that could mean.

Geoff makes a good point about the grease. One was towed in that had caught the ignition barrel on fire.
