Hi
My beloved Bongo has now been recovered from France, having broken down while travelling, and I suspect the Timing Belt is the culprit.
Any ideas on how much I could expect to sell this for?
The rest of the van is in good shape with no rust.
Located in Bournemouth.
Cheers

Is it not worth sticking a belt on it first?
You may want keep it then anyhow would be worth more as a runner.

Thanks for the reply Bongolia.
I’m reluctant to spend much more cash on it but am having a second and third opinion.
As the timing belt failed as I was driving through France, I expect that the damage is pretty bad and to get it running will be costly.
Any ideas from where I can buy a timing belt?

There a non-interference engine, but some one has measured it and its very fine but provided there are no dropped valves then you should be OK.

Figured I’d provide an update; as open ended posts can be annoying.
Advice on here was good; had a new timing belt fitted by a bongo specialist and the Bongo is running well again with no other damage.
Looking forward to getting out in it again late next year

Splendid news, and (as Geoff says) a very valuable update.
Thankyou.
