Karitek system for Bongo with AFT

Hi all. Has anyone here ever used the Karitek system with their AFT Bongo to transport canoes or kayaks? How did you find it? Did you fit it directly to the AFT or fit it to roof bars? I'm hoping I can fit it to gutter mounted roof bars but unsure what the best solution is. Any help will be greatly apprecaited.
