Registration Date or age of vehicle

Newbie here, so sorry to ask this as I'm sure it is a numpty question, but I can't find the answer. I am looking to buy my firsr bongo, but when I click to search by year, the owners put in the year the veh was imported, therefore it isn't obvious how old the veh is. Does this matter or do you recommend going by miles done.

Hi, and welcome.
Condition is the main thing, particularly regarding rust.
The Bongo is good for many long miles, and the year of manufacture can often be deduced from the registration, unless the owner has a personal plate.

Many thanks - so you'd just look at the number plate for each of them?

Put the reg number in on the MOT check site, it'll give you the year and the previous MOT history:
