Vango Altona Air driveaway awning

Hi chums,
Anyone have any advice on how to fit this Vango awning to the bongo please? The only way I think it can be done is by using the throw-over straps? Would a ‘figure of 8’ fixing work in the van gutter as it comes with a Kador strip already attached.
