hi all
i,ve got a little round switch
directly below steering wheel closer to feet
sunk into the grey plastic which would hide all the wiring
size of a half pence ..on off only
....no markings...
... wired up to rest of electric wires
has anybody got any idea what it is?
thanks

Hi Dara

It hasn't got a LED
but the two wires red/black definitely go up towards ignition
hoped it might be a security thing
...it's mounted quite discretely...slim etc
i suppose i should test it out tomorrow

hi all dara again
no it doesn't seem to immobilise ...(unless it has been disabled)
tried this morning
can't see any parking sensors in bumper
so am assuming it's not for that
any other good ideas anybody?

Could it be for an auxilliary cooling fan for the engine?
Just a thought!

Have a look at this - it may be the switch that dims the headlights when sat in traffic:

Simon Jones
thanks
you are right
it's for knocking off the headlights when i stop (in heavy japanese traffic)
works a treat headlights come on again within about 2 secs of moving off again
don't think i'll use it much here in co.down
could have been quite worrying though if i didn't know about it and the switch was accidentally switched
thanks again
dara
