We have a wellcraft 18ft speedboat with a 3litre inboard mercruiser engine that sits on a break back braked twin wheel axle.

Can my bongo pull this? :?:

The length ism't the problem. It's the weight. You don't want to tow much more than 1,500 kg.

I would agree with Ian regarding the max towing weight, but at least there would be much less wind resistance with your boat and trailer than with a caravan. Do you know the combined weight of boat and trailer? If not, check it on any local weighbridge. I doubt whether you will have much of a problem.

I would have thought you would be fine towing that, but I do remember owelly saying he had a few 'moments' on a greasy slipway with a 2wd bongo.
I have a smaller boat than yours 16.5ft with 50hp, but you hardly notice it behind a bongo. I have towed cars on a heavy trailer with no problems, and the combined weight of a car and trailer must be in excess of your boat/trailer combo.
