Hi all. Have read the tips for swapping centre bench seat around, but what I wish to know is "what about the seat belts"? Once the seat is facing the other way, how do we change the seat belts? Columbusflynn

There is no legal reason to have seatbelts on rear facing seats, although many have done it and I am sure help is on the way.

Apart from the centre lap belt you cannot use any other belt on a rear facing seat, and as previous post, not legally required.
Also, if you have a full campervan conversion then rear foward facing seats are not legally required to have belts, but if any foward facing seat in a vehicle has a seat belt fitted then it is a legal requirement that it works and will be tested in an MOT.

And if you can fit 3 lapbelts, you should be able to fit 3 x 3-point fixed (not inertia) belts, which gives you greater safety. I took the 3-point belt out of our Spacewagon and used it to replace the middle seat lapbelt - took just a few mins to do.
