I have had a puzzling week, fuel guage was registering 1/4 full so put in £36.00 diesel @89p a litre. I have done about 30 miles at the most, fuel guage is just below half. When I filled up guage very slowly went to full but now dropping far too fast  Any comments. No leaks at all and no smoke from exhaust

Have had a miss reading guage for a while have tried the earth thing but with no effect. When I fill up it takes about 18 kilometers for the needle to reach nearly the top then after about 80 kms it shows just over half full. Gave up on it ages ago now I set the trip when I fill up and then fill up again at about 380 kms.

I would agree with your 380km - I saw someone say they filled after 450km, but I don't think that I want to live that close to the edge. I'm guessing it would be fine on long journeys, but might be dodgy if all you have done is round town driving.

My garage had a go at the earth, and the gauge was fine for a while, but now it comes and goes...

Cheers
