Re: Water Pump replacement

Thanks to everybody for your insights. I have my Hadyn temperature alarm sensor fitted into the existing bolt hole on the back of the cylinder head and alarm set to 100 deg C.....is this a reasonable setting or could I go a bit higher given the water temperature is now about 5 deg higher?

Thanks ...

Re: Water Pump replacement

NB

Thanks for that, it was a copy rather than genuine Mazda. I'll keep an eye on the temp. Feel relieved :?

Water Pump replacement

Hi All

I'm hoping you can put my mind at ease. I had to have the water pump replaced last week....I'm too arthritic to do it myself and had to entrust it to my local garage as I live at least 50 miles from a club-recommended garage. I did give him a printout of the method of refilling/bleeding ...

Simon

Thanks for quick response. I had seen some of the threads but hadn't spotted the mention of diagrams....I've sent a pm to Dave.

Front swivel passenger seat

Hi All

I've seen a youtube video showing a front swivel seat that an engineer fabricated himself. Does anyone know if a suitable swivel kit is available?

Re: front foglight bulb removal

Thanks for getting back to me Simon.....yes it has but it took me a while to figure it out as it is the first time I've come across them. I've replaced both bulbs but the o/s foglight is still not as bright as the n/s one. Not sure why this might be as both bulbs are brand new. It was the case ...

front foglight bulb removal

Hi....a simple job, I thought! Need to change a front foglight bulb....took rubber cover off back of unit, released the spring holder and out pops the bulb on the end of the wire.....but how do you remove the bulb? Sounds silly but the bulb seems to be soldered to the wire??? Help please!

replacing reversing mirror lens

Ok....I admit it, I'm an idiot! Needed the van washed and clean in a hurry, went to the local car wash and the reversing mirror lens broke....thankfully not the housing. I've ordered a new lens from Ian but the question is....does it just snap into place and do I need to remove the housing first? If ...

Re: Paint colour mis-match

No, painting was done whilst still warm and dry. The colour swatches I did were done in the warm and dry too. The company are sending me a fresh can made up to Japanese spec....we'll see if there's any difference.

Re: Paint colour mis-match

Poohbear....quite! I have taken a photo of a piece of card which I half painted with the spray and half with the touch-up brush and emailed it to the company; the contrast is all too apparent.

Paint colour mis-match

Hi

Has anyone had a similar experience to this....I recently bought a batch of brush on and spray paint from "CarPaintRepair" and I'm disappointed with the quality. My paint code is PT (which according to the list is Chaste White). Now here's the issue....the brush on is a perfect colour match ...

Rich

No I didn't....as a matter of fact, the blinds have been playing up. It turned out to be a dirty switch connection on the switch behind the hob/sink unit!!! I was not a happy chappy. However, it was sorted...but my wife and I have decided that now is the time to give up bongoing; our ages and ...

Three radiators at the front???

I was doing some work at the front of the van and realised that there are three radiators under there....the front one is presumably the air-con, then comes the water radiator, and then a smaller one at the bottom (behind the other two) with its own air scoop - is this associated with the auto ...

Hadyn engine temperature sensor

I'm fitting a Hadyn clock, coolant alarm and engine temp alarm combo this coming weekend and I'm wondering which is the best way to route the engine temp sensor? It looks like it might have to be down the side of the engine, past the fan and along the brake lines and up into the bonnet area then ...
