When you bleed the system you should never let it run long enough to boil the coolant, you shouldnt get clouds of steam and huge eruptions from the bleed pipe

Hi guys
The reason that they say not to use copper pipe for these sort of things is due to the fact that copper is soft and prolonged vibration will wear thru it!

Have done the EGR mod tonight and as i pulled the little black pipe off to put a bolt in it, it shattered into little bits, went and got some new pipe and all was well
took out for a test drive and hey presto no more smoke :D
after checking all the other little black pipes under the drivers seat ...

by using the bleed valve the only difference in the bleeding process would be that the bongo would not be spitting out hot water, only air

also dont forget that you would not leave it on the engine permanantly, just while your bleeding it

Just wondered what you bongolians use for underseal, i know about wax oil for the nooks and crannies, but what about the wheel arches and big areas underneath
ps i dont like that black tar like stuff, ive found in the past it does more harm than good

When you fill the system with cold coolant your bound to get a bit of air her and there, same as in a domestic system, but when you heat the water it expands and usually you get a little burble or two.
