I uave a 2.5td 96 bongo a few months ago the hold light started flashing whislt ignition lights were on and no engine running, todsy it done rhe same thing, but i reset the ignition by simply removing the key and sitting it with ignition lights on again ...

You can find gas / air leaks in pipes by spraying them with a soapy water solution and look for the bubbles
Get a trigger spray bottle and put in a good squirt of fairy liquid fill with water and shake
Then spray over pipes looking for leaks

That's how we find gas leaks , SOZ don't know much ...
