Yeah, the RS6 was the fastest I've seen in real life. Bear in mind I was doing 70 and it just disappeared.mikeonb4c wrote:
From a stand still no doubt the Tesla would be quicker; watched some youtube clips about them a while back.

Re: Frankenstein engine thoughts.....
LPG has an incredibly high octane so is very good with boost.
A supercharger would be best for bottom end, tree stump pulling torque, such as an Eaton but a mini Cooper one would be too small, something off a Merc/Jag?

Re: Frankenstein engine thoughts.....
Just need a turbo on the V6 then we could have the best of both; low-down torque and high rev power, especially if you're running on LPG

Same for me skater: 6+ years of diesel & now 4+ years of V6. It does take some getting used to having all that power up the top end of the rev range :).

Dunno about a 3.0 quad cam lump .. the 929 3.0 is only a single cam 18 valve ..
To be honest .. for a narrow .. tall .. camper van with the aerodynamics of a house brick I am quite happy with my V6 as it is ..
Yes, it does move when you want it to but you need to be heading over the 4500rpm mark ...

I tweaked my old diesel but that had a mechanical pump that had lots of adjustment options.

Thanks.
Yes I followed that link and looks like my box is affected.
Have e-mailed Mazda UK but am not expecting anything helpful.
What to do next
White painted was the fixed sign for the second recall; 1st was yellow paint. ( That dogandlemon link shows the two recalls )

Has anyone had any re-call issues resolved here, in UK?
It would appear my 2002 Bongo was/is subject to a gearbox re-call which wasn't addressed by previous owner in Japan.
