Re: Interesting speedo chip claim
I had an imported MX5 a few years ago, this had a limiter it was not hard to tell, as the speed climbed, the power would reduce, very scary when overtaking or even joining a motorway. I disconnected the feed from the speedo printed circuit by removing the screws on the back of the speedo. Made a big...

Re: London Low Emissions Zone
Common sense would suggest this will do the trick, but (there is always a but isn't there) civil servants don't do common sense do they? Fingers crossed for a good result

Re: London Low Emissions Zone
OK understood but we do know the source of 2,260 kg - Mazda, according to Imperial. Anyone know the source of 2,360 kg? If we could nail this, once and for all, it should see us alright with VOSA, DVLA, police and insurers, as well as TFL/LEZ. Wouldn't matter which figure but it would be really use...

Re: Just back from a trip no faults but temperature question
Thanks for the advice folks, will replace the sender first and if it is still the same then put a higher resistor on the gauge

Re: Just back from a trip no faults but temperature question
Where is the I alert sensor mounted? May be worth altering the value of the resistor on the temp gauge mod slightly to bring it down within range a bit? Has the thermostat been replaced at any time within your ownership, could be it's getting a bit "tired" & operating a bit higher? Ar...

Just back from a trip no faults but temperature question
Hi everyone, we have just returned from a trip to France, 1772 miles, the Bongo did not put a foot wrong, went like a dream but! the temperature gauge (modified with the higher resistor) which has always been a bit on the high side went very high. When we climbed steep hills, I should say the Bongo ...

Re: Travel money in France
The best place to go is: moneysavingexpert.com they list best buys for most things. I too used to use the Nationwide card, this year we are taking cash and the Nationwide credit card is still free for purchases in Europe. If you do take cash order it on line for collection at the port, you will save...

Headlamp adapter
I normally just put black tape on the lights but after reading about how tough the French cops are getting. For our next trip I have now bought proper beam deflectors for the bongo and the Harley. Pricey  but cheaper than a fine :D Also it seems we now have to wear hi vis vests on the bike :evi...

Re: Replaced reversing light with L E D
I changed mine after seeing a post on here, as I find the bongo's reversing lights poor. Certainly whiter, but I don't think it's any better.

Central locking fault
Hello everyone, I have had a problem, for some time ,with the central locking. When used with the remote the drivers door would lock but sometimes the other doors would lock and sometimes they would not. When it failed I would open the door and move the locking knob up and down a few times and all w...
