Re: Constant beeping when engine off

I don't have an alarm, don't think I have a turbo timer. I did have a remote control ignition starter - maybe the remnants of that (I did not take this off, dealer I imported from did).

Re: Constant beeping when engine off

OK the beeping stopped! I cannot be certain but I think that shifting the Bongo through all the automatic "gears" sorted this! I went down from park thorugh each gear in turn and back again (pressing shift) and then turned the engine off and removed key. Beeping stopped.

My conclusion is that these ...

Re: Constant beeping when engine off

I'll try my best to answer these questions.

It's a little beep beep, nothing like the louder variant for doors open, roof up etc.

I don't have a low coolant alarm fitted and don't think it's the key in ignition beep playing up as it's not nearly as loud.

I also get one little final beep when I ...

Re: Constant beeping when engine off

My beeping misery has come back! Does anyone have any clues as to why when the battery goes flat and is recharged I get a constant beep when the engine is turned off, or how to resolve this?

Re: Hold light flashes and Rev Counter problem

I read up on this and got my mechanic to take out the NE sensor and give it a clean etc. Didn't do the trick. Rev counter still shows 0 from cold until things warm up and then works fine. Think the NE sensor needs replacing?

Re: Hold light flashes and Rev Counter problem

rev pick up is failing, they usually start playing up after about 10-20mins of driving, the gear is selected by a combo of speed and revs, if the ecu loses either it logs a fault and flashes the hold light, not a big fix, 1 10mm bolt holds it in place, just in front/below the fuel pump, under ...

Re: Constant beeping when engine off

Well mysteriously today I filled Belinda up and she stopped beeping! I'm none the wiser! But the beeping has stopped for the time being anyway... :|

Constant beeping when engine off

I have the exact same problem as this guy did:
http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10407&p=80779

He stopped it:
"The remote control ignition starter is has an intermittent fault on it so we disconnected it and the beeping stopped."

I too have a remote control ignition ...

Re: Drivers Electric Window Switch Box

Thanks everybody so far, all very helpful.

I think the loom stuff makes sense. When I get a mo I'm going to have a look, which I'm quite happy to do as a non-techie layman, but what's the course of action if I see there is a problem with the wires (e.g. broken)? If you don't do it yerself, but you ...

Re: Drivers Electric Window Switch Box

Many thanks for such a quick response, all makes sense. Just one thing I'm still wondering and that's while the switch is not in place will the passenger side window not work using the switch on the passenger window? (It did work before and doesn't now!)

Drivers Electric Window Switch Box

Literally just having started my Bongo today the drivers electric window switch box started smoking - a lot! Not knowing which fuse controlled this switch (because I hadn't got a diagram - I have Now!) I prised out the box from the door and unplugged the switch unit. A small hole has been burnt the ...
