Re: OEM Aerial fitment

Got it. Thanks Bob. Looks like the small cap needs to be prised off and then use all six hands to catch a ball bearing as well as other bits and bobs

Re: OEM Aerial fitment

Thanks chaps. There is indeed a couple of screws either side. I'll hunt for A fact sheet first then give the other option a bash.
Thanks again

OEM Aerial fitment

Hi all
We have a 98 Bongo and wondering if anyone knows how to replace the aerial? Assume the plastic cap in the centre comes out but have used a sharp knife, and besides losing three fingers, it doesn't want to budge!
Any assistance gratefully received
All the best
Steve

TV aerials...has anybody tried one of these?

I appreciate that signal quality, especially with Freeview varies considerably, but wondered if anyone had tried one of these? Loathed to buy it and find out its no better than an old coat hanger
Any views greatly appreciated!

Blimey. Missed this. We were staying just up the road on the Peninsular on Sunday night. Arrived at about midday and saw a couple of BOngos near Portmerion on Monday as we drove home.

Re: in van entertainment

We have a digital dongle for the laptop, and fix an aerial to the bull bar. This gives us freeview tv and a DVD player. This is not a pimp, as we take it out when not in use. But it is a very cheap way to get tv and DVD player. Got a dongle thingy too. Didnt get many channels last weekend as only h...

Re: Wheel diameters and how they affect mileometer

Just had an indepth chat with local tyre bloke, who is a good friend of mine. I appreciate you may have all discussed this in the past, but this is what he's come up with! Unladen weight is 1860 kgs 4 x 94 rated tyres give a total load max of 2680 kgs Therefore the difference between unladen weight ...

Re: Wheel diameters and how they affect mileometer

Just checked...94 all round so need to get at least a couple of new ones! Just a thought though. I take it that the 'official' plate on the door stop, would have been based on the vehicle carrying 8 adults in MPV format. Would the original ratings still apply after the car has been converted to 'cam...

Re: Wheel diameters and how they affect mileometer

Did you check your tyres load rating? If they're too low, it may invalidate your insurance #-o[/quote]

I'll whizz out with a torch now!

Thanks again

Do you think I could take it to any testing station or would it have to go back to the one that did the last test?

Thanks for your help
