Thanks to Jude & Di for organising a lovely weekend in Llangollen, and for providing the ferry service to & from the town to collect vital supplies of beer etc. Thanks also to Chell & Ady for providing some strange foods to try, the laverbread sausage rolls were, erm, interesting
We went on a bit of a tour yesterday afternoon, firstly to see Telford’s fabulous aqueduct from the side, and then south to Llyn Efyrnwy – the road from Bala to Llanwddyn along the Hirnant valley was stunning. A few pics from us....

Valle Crucis Abbey, Llantysilio, Denbighshire

Bongo people

Quick!! – the sun has come out!!

The pink bowls look a bit suspect....

....but the contents certainly not – Bury black pudding – Thanks Chell!!

River Dee, Llangollen

Llangollen wharf ready for the boat trip

Froncysyllte wharf for the aqueduct cruise

Froncysyllte wharf

All aboard!!

It’s a long way down!!

The old bridge over the Dee

Mission accomplished – back at Llangollen wharf

Never too cold

They do horse-drawn cruises too

River Dee at Llangollen again

Barbie time – if Ady can get it started

Superb company, great outing on the canal, and a lot (seriously a LOT) of laughs!!
Welsh meets must be the best ones, although I would say that!
As usual, didn't take any photo's
so am enjoying everyone else's.
Fab as usual.
See you next time.
