Re: Coolant Flush
The great Haddington coolant flush was a huge success ... supported by a constant flow of hot tea and goodies courtesy of Elaine. Thanks to Matt, Tony and Jim. Learned lots and a bit more confident about tackling more maintenance jobs now. Thankfully nothing is too urgent as it is getting pretty chi...

Re: Coolant Flush

I had the van up on a lift a couple of weeks ago and it hasn't got any worse. Loking forawrd to the fun (?) tomorrow!! Mike Anyway, how did we get...

Coolant Flush
Had spoken to Bill at Campercraft about doing this when he serviced my Bongo for me a in June. Can't get hold of him at the moment. Any suggestions as to where I can get this done within reasonable reach of east lothian? Not desperate but it does need done soonish.
Thanks. Mike
Thanks. Mike

Re: EDIT: October 6th meet
That looks like a great weekend. Pity we couldn't manage but hopefully will get to the Red Squirrel next week. Not had much chance to use the Bongo this 'summer' due to work commitments but intending to use it all winter instead!! Hopefully we'll be able to find some sites that are open with electri...

Re: Bill @ Campercraft
Yes .. he can be difficult to track down. I always call him on his mobile and arrange to visit. He is just out of hospital and clearly has not been too well. I find him honest, straight forward, very helpful and knowledgable so I am happy to travel from East Lothian. That is not, of course to say th...

Re: Bill @ Campercraft
Took Bongo to Bill yesterday for a service and a checkover. Had thought the handling was a little 'loose' ... 2 hrs later lovely smooth running sweet handling Bongo returned to me! Fantastic service and not hard on the wallet. Thanks again to Bill .. well worth the trip. I also have a DIY 'to do' li...

Still hoping to make this but will be Bongoless as we have no time to use it this month and it is still on SORN. If the weather is ok shall dash up myself with the only thing better than a Bongo .. Ducati and tent!

Re: Fife Coastal Meet?
Much as I'd like to come along the Bongo is on SORN and put to bed for the winter. We shall resurface, after hibernation, in time for the Red Squirrel trip.

Re: April Meet Red Squirrel Campsite
We will certainly be up for an April Meeting in Glen Coe. Was at the Kilvrecht (Loch Rannoch) site after Glemmore and again this last weekend. Brilliant place. Great walks. No hookup but not a problem. Does anyone know anything about Propex heating? Seems to be a lot cheaper than the diesel version....

Re: Bongo buying Scotland
I'll add my praises for Bill. My van was originally coveretd by Campercraft although I got it from Mill Garage in Duns who do VW conersions (and are really decent folk as well). After I had done about 4000 milkes I took it back to Bill for a service and some extra interior lighting, learned the full...

Me too. Only met Bill twice and he was a great help. His business deserves to prosper. Happy to support this if I can make it. Mike
