Sliding door light switch?

My sliding door is not activating the interior strip light. The light works fine on manual but not when the door is opened - have seached threads and there was some talk of wd40 and the micro switch - but where is the switch is it that bank of brass plunger type things on the door pillar?

Any ideas out there? As always with thanks

The switch that operates the light when the door opens and closes is situated at the rear of the door opening and it`s between the bottom and middle door guide rails . Hope this helps .
