A centre curtain, yep, it should go straight on...
You will need to drill a hole in the plastic trim either side, then the centre supports simply clip behind the face level heater vents.
Offer the curtains up,and position them to your desired position, before marking a pilot hole in the trim (better if two of you did this).
I was lucky with my curtains, i found the bongo originals in a bin of all places! They had been chucked as they were deemed to be too dirty to ever get clean again.... (they looked brown actually) After one cycle in the washing machine, i was quite suprised to see that they were actually grey!

I'm slightly confused though, as I have seen centre cutains advertised, and front cutrains, I assume front ones go round the windscreen or side windows and the centre ones behin the drivers seat...or am I wrong?

Correct. I have centre curtains on my converted Bongo which is fine if you don't need to use the front seat area when camping. Better if you have the windows, blinds etc modified to work on a leisure battery so you don't need to turn on the ignition. On the other hand if you are going to put a child's bed across the front seats then front windscreen curtains are a must.

I'm very happy with a pair of velvet curtains from Roesbays (£10 in the sale) and a chrome spring netting curtain rod which springs against the headlining / side interior trim join and is supported mid span by an s-hook in the hole where original curtains might have gone. They stoow easily by twisting into a 'rope' and trapping to the sides behind the Bongo footrestsWISHIHADABONGO wrote:Just a quick question cos I wish to buy one for mine to separate the front from the rear![]()

The whole thing can be quickly removed and clamped in place in the open tailgate if I have my tailgate awning up but the person sleeping downstairs wants privacy and draught protection.
I (and most of the rest of the world) think the Bongo originals are not worth the prices they fetch on ebay

That`s like buying a reliant when you want a ROLLSmikeonb4c wrote:Ah yes, I agree Crazy, but our man here wants curtains for separating front and rear. The curtains that go round all the front windows are indeed very neat and if I could be *rsed I would be *rsed but I can't be *rsed![]()

for what you will pay for curtains and rails you may as well, buy a set of silver insulating screens that go over the windscreen and cab as well as the rear window, you get thelight blocked out and insulation in the process.
on the old bongo i had rear curtains, that got in the way when i put my thermal screen up.

Spot on
One man's rubbish,another man's treasure...
I feel i have to clarify, that i wasn't exactly elbow deep in old tea bags, and dead rats, i spotted (through very thick brown staining) The unmistakable pattern of my rear curtains..That's what made me investigate further...
Of course i checked it was ok for me to take em.
They were so smoke stained, that the kitchen reeked of stale fags ( and i smoke!) ,and the water was visibly brown as they whizzed around the washer
They came up like new, fitted em while they were still damp
