Can anyone tell me where exactly is the sender unit for the temperature gauge.

Right hand side of the engine, under drivers seat. front of the head, brass thingy with 1 wire coming out of it.

Just had my glow plugs replaced and now found out that my temperature gauge is not working.Could anyone tell me what i need to do or get

New I had seen it somewhere had it saved on my computer

Sounds like whoever did the plugs has damaged the sender or wire, I'd take it back & get them to sort it for free. You should be able to see if its damaged, thanks to maxheadroom finding the piccy.

Many thanks just the thing i needed,would it have the green wire like i can see in the picture coming out of it? I am ringing the garage tomorow anyway,been very pleased so far with them for the last 3yrs,but this time the young chap tried to take off my centre hubcaps and sheered off the screw heads not one but two ,so had to get them drilled out,and had him check my break pads, had bought new ones for him to replace,but he said that they were fine no need to put new on yet,but on a trip up the motorway yesterday the van was shuddering on 60 then wasent to bad on 65-70, im hoping im right on thinking that this may be due to the balancing of the wheels .

Get the wheels balanced & tracking checked ( between -1 and 7 mm toe in), should sort the shuddering - it's fairly normal, nowt to worry about hopefully. The sender should have a wire connected to feed the temp gauge, may just need connecting back on if it got knocked or taken off while doing the plugs. Would recommend geting a Mason temp alarm fitted, it actually makes the temp gauge work & move with temp rather than just sitting at 11 o clock, & has a settable alarm, less than £30 & dead easy to fit.

7mm toe in? Thats a lot of toe, wont that scrub the tyres?

Nope just use the knowledge that I have. If I was using 1/4in toe in on a race car it would mean that there was a problem with ackermann.

On a road car dont you think 1/4in toe in will cause tyre wear?

I set mine midway at 3mm but there's so much yield on the suspension rubber bushes and sidewalls on these Bongos I doubt 6mm would make much difference than 3mm.

At the speed we drive at around town I dont think 'yield' is a problem. Sidewalls of the tyres are different and normally the taller the sidewall the greater the slip angle.
