Now then.
Been back up there today & laid out the deposit. We get the Barn for the night for the entertainment & they will cordon off both sides of the carpark for us to park up in. All seems well BUT - we have something of a problem if too many need to stick an awning up. Realisticly theres not space for more than about three or four at a push, as the parking area + the cove up the lane are on the gravelly side. Not good for stuffing tent pegs into. So we will be restricted to a certain extent to either kipping in the Bongos or taking up the generous accomodation offers the Inn provides.
Any worries, contact me or Tan Hill direct on 01833 628 246.
Looking forward to a great do!!

Sounds like it'll be a good laugh if there's room on the car park for another bongo here MM, ensuite or not

Dreamwarrior - where did you wild camp - I spent my first wild camping in the Freda on the shore of Wastwater, Thurs and Fri night. Fabulous spot and lying in bed with the side door open watching and listening to the water birds as the sun rises takes some beating!

Hi peeps
Just a nate to say that there is a loo (basic) which can be accessed from the car park at all times.
The campground is very uneven and isn;t suitable for large tents (which the sheep or the ducks will try to eat anyway.
There is plenty of overnight car park and roadside parking adjacent to the pub plus the little quarry about 500 metres down the road.
No mod cons of a normal campsite...nearer to wild camping with pub comforts.
But not to be missed.

Not bringing awning is ok for us MM as we are travelling light for this one - i.e no kids = much less clobber required. Looking forward to it.
