Thanks for the replies and the advice!
My Bongo is a day van so I don't have to worry about the kids dismantling the roof section! However, the coolant alarms sound like a great idea. How much do they cost and when can I get them fitted?
When Mike at Wheelquick was showing me around the car he did make a special point of telling me that I needed to keep an eye on the coolant (much more so than the oil, which I thought was unusual at the time). I have some long distance camping holidays coming up and the last thing that I need is an "incident" involving plenty of steam and a coughing engine.
On a lighter note, we've all been out for our first proper journey today. Beautiful weather in Manchester, "Beach Boys" on the stereo, great picnic and arts festival in Platt fields.

Glad you had a good day out. Low coolant alarms cost around £60, from BF member Haydn Callow. I don't know if he can/will accommodate any more, but RoosterUK is holding a 'coolant alarm' street party shortly. I'm not sure what the £ arrangement is, but it will be cheaper than anywhere else, the company is great and Rooster is top dog on vehicle electrics (its what he does for a living I think!). Try PM'ing him to see if he might squeeze another in. No promises though as he is incredibly generous with his time (and street - could end up blocking it with Bongos!) but you can only ask. If you can get to the Bongo Bash in Stourport (starts week after next), Rooster is fitting Haydns alarms for £68 all in (weekend only I think, not sure) - an incredible deal, and a great expedition for the kids at £8.50 a night.

Is this at RoosterUK`s minimeet at his house???...£8.50 per person per night??...that must be
staying the weekend in his 5 star caravan that he cant sell...didnt know he was going into the Hotel/B and B business too.
What a versatile bloke the man is,Caz has a lot to put up with all his entreprenuerial skills ( i know she makes a good brew,wonder what her Full English is like.)

When is it best to book a Bongo in at Wheelquick, as I guess they are a busy garage. Also having read above somewhere, that it is a alladin's cave, should I start to worry, about the temptation to spend more.

Anyway, I will be in the area sometime between the 8th and 10th of July, so would it be an idea to call first thing tomorrow? (Monday)

Nowt serious needing done BTW. *touches wood*

The North West crowd are a great crew Bora. When I had a set of Flippa's hoses fitted, a service and Mot done at Wheelquick then Hayden's and the Mason alarms fitted at roosterUK's in January it was bigdaddycain that arranged everything for me. Perhaps they took me into the fold as I am an ex local who studdied at Wigan Technical College for five years, but I doubt it.

When you get to Wheelquick just park you car in the little car park on the opposite side of the road that usually has a few of Wheelquick's Bongos parked there then call in and claim your cuppa. About ten cuppas I should think if you have the whole Bora tribe with you?
