Mason alarm

hi y'all,
i have installed the new temp gauge and connected the mason alarm using the alternative earth and i was extra specially careful tightening the screws
i then took galileo out for a spin and did about six miles, the gauge rose slowly til it got to about 1o'clock and held steady.
i will take her on a longer run tomorrow night and see how it goes i am then going to arrange for the coolant to be bled off and antifreeze added.
dave, i will put the old gauge in the post tomorrow to you, have fun

Mason alarms are available again now. Sorry for the delay. Thanks to those of you that have supplied advice, test results and pictures.

The "tails" on the end of the cable are longer so the green wire will reach the Earth terminal marked "SP" as shown below. A print of this image will be included with your alarm.

Please do not use the "E" terminal near the temp gauge because as the screw there is tightened the earth pillar inside the temp gauge can rotate and break the fine wire insIde the instrument. This warning is relevant if you remove/replace either E-screw on the temp/fuel gauge for any reason.

fitted in 20 mins,frightened the life out of me the difference in the gauge (engine already warm ) went for short run needle 2 o clock at least then when i stopped scav fan came on for the first time ever (apart from me testing it ) normal ?...

Has been a warm day today, so the scavenger fan should come on to cool the bongo driver cab
