Tell me about it kirsty.... I had to put a LOT of weight on a pry bar to show up the crack on mine....missfixit70 wrote: It's not immediately obvious that the bracket's snapped by looking at it.

I've just had the ARB bushes changed, so I'd have thought the garage would have picked up if the brackets had snapped. Intesting note for the future though.
The noise from the front isn't a clunk or knock, it's more a 'gritty', 'dry scraping kind of sound.

When you turn the wheel at slow speed? Are you 4wd?

Re: Noisy suspension
Mine snapped shortly after I'd changed the bushes, nothing visibly wrong with the brackets at the time, I'm not saying that's definitely what it is, but it's what happened to mine & worth checking.dom_e wrote:I've just had the ARB bushes changed, so I'd have thought the garage would have picked up if the brackets had snapped. You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.
Re: Noisy suspension
Mine's a 2wd. It's only noisy over larger speed bumps and always has been, before and after the ARB change.

Without looking on Lush Projects, how does the front strut connect to the car? A top bush between strut and inner wing? It sounds very much like the problem I had with my MR2.
Re: Noisy suspension
Our 95 2WD makes the same noise from the front over speed bumps (when its dry). The 'scrunch' was so noisy I originally thought it was mudguards scraping on the ground !! Our local bongo expert says its the ARB bushes being dry, the bar rotating within them in a sticky fashion that causes the noise. Its done it for a year, not getting any better or worse.
