Sorry to be missing this one but fuel costs (blew the budget at Snowdonia) and helping out at the Scouts jumble sale (missus's orders) prevent. Have a great time y'all

The weather looks absolutely attrocious for the weekend on the NE coast, 30mph winds and driving sleet.

Bring it on!

Great! the weather up here has been really good for the past two weekends, looks like you know who lays on the foul weather specially for bongos.
In any case the tides for this weekend do not look good for visiting Holy Islands, causeway is closed this Saturday between 13.30 to 19.35 so you will have to be up early if you want to go. Alnwick Castle and Gardens anyone? At least you will be out of the wind.

Still going to pop infore the day Stevie? If you want to give your bongo a good try out and avoid the winds expected on the A1 take the A68 or A7 then go over Carter Bar on the A68. If you do you will get a chance to try out your L and S gears (if you have an auto). But mind you there are about 30 speed cameras on the A68 between the Edinburgh Bye Pass and the Border at Carter Bar. On the other hand there are none on the A7 as the twisting road slows most people down enough.

The wind was so horrible on Friday and Saturday that for the first time I did not think of taking any photos on the campsite, perhaps others will oblige.
