Rear air conditioner blowing hot- Any answer ?please

We were out all day today and it got very hot in the Bongo when it was parked. The Grandchildren were too hot,when we got in to move off again, so we turned on the back air con, to find it would only blow hot Yes!!! I did set it on cold We had all the windows open to get cool and I was getting well and truly wind battered Can anyone please tell me what the problem could be ?, before I get a mechanic or whatever to look at it.

The cable's probably come off at the heater control. 2 screws lifts the unit out for a check.

Thanks Dandy, If it's just 2 screws I will have a look tomorrow. Can't have my young ones getting too hot in the back
