BIG BASH DOWNSIDE
The only downside of the big bash was a BLOW OUT on my caravan tyre as i was returning home. Luckily i had just finished overtaking a large lorry and was in the first lane doing about 50mph, I had opened the window because it was getting stuffy and i actually heard the tyre blow out, the caravan swerved a little and my wheel trim shot across the motorway.
A big thanks to Chell and Andy who were behind me and stopped to help, quick wheel change and a slow drive home.

Phew - all's well that ends well (well apart from the tyre - that didn't end well!).
I didn't even know you'd got a caravan - what type did you get (don't tell me its an Eriba )

Glad your OK Dave, you were lucky the caravan didnt swerve and flip over.
Think about having these fitted for safety and peace of mind,I had them fitted to mine and feel much better knowing they are on.

Glad you are ok Dave, we came back from Allonby to home last weekend and when we were manhandling (nice word) our eriba back on the drive realised she had a flat - no damage done to wheel or rim tho.
glad you are ok

Re: BIG BASH DOWNSIDE
That explains why you both suddenly dissapeared from my rear view mirror! I thought for a minute you'd actually morphed into that sainsbury's wagon we'd overtook... Nice of shell&andy to help with the tyre change...I hope you hadn't showered them with TOO much hot rubber! I've seen dave's driving skills first hand, it doesn't surprize me one bit he nursed his bongo and van outfit to a controlled stop... In fact, i'm quite shocked he didn't simply reload the van to offset the balance, and drive it home without changing the wheel!
Glad you and the pups are ok mate...

Re: BIG BASH DOWNSIDE
Because i actually heard the tyre blow, i did not drive too far and it didn't shred the tyre from the wheel so no damage to the caravan apart from losing my wheel trim which is probably in the central reservation on the M5.
But as Kirsty mentioned brown stains on the seat. I think Chell was more scared than me traveling behind and seeing the tyre blow out.
Not as scared as i was following them down a road 6ft 6 inch wide (2 metres) with a caravan only 6ft wide.
BLOODY SAT NAVS.

You were pretty lucky anyhow, Do you remember woody, who used to come to the local meets?, indigo bongo with 20" chrome rime and the full chrome bits and bobs?, well anyway I went to fix his caravan for him beofre he moved up to Orkney, blow out same as you but a chunk of the tyre actually smashed up through the wheels arch taking out the wheel arch which in turn took a chuck out from underneath too, and totally destroying his gas cooker , good job hed rememberd to turn it off before hand ,
