Tyre pressure
Am I being thick (as usual!), but I can't find the recommended tyre pressure for van in my handbook. Just want to know what it should be fully loaded. Anyone?

Driver's - but that's for Japanese tyres under Japanese conditions and I seem to recall that most people haven't found that suits the UK on UK tyres.francophile1947 wrote:On a plate inside the passenger door frame (or driver's - can't remember which)
And it's in something like sushi per sq/yen.
PS don't ask me why I'm just passing on what I've read on here.
PPS I tend to use about 36psi all round with 215/60-16s if that helps.
Re: Tyre pressure
According to my handbook, for a 2WD diesel unconverted, it is 180kPa front, and 240kPa rear, or 26PSI front and 35PSI rear in English

Re: Tyre pressure
Which is usually way too low, as posted on here repeatedly. Usually closer to 38 - 40 psi (obviously check the recommended maximum on your tyres)

Re: Tyre pressure
I run at 40psi all round....I belive I get a couple more MPG...since I pumped them up from 34F/36R...Seems to handle better as well
Re: Tyre pressure
I agree totally with hayden, been running mine at 40psi for 3 years.Dave

Re: Tyre pressure
YUP! Agree. But suggest 40psi front and 45psi rear, but check how the tread fits on the road. Tyres will last longer

Re: Tyre pressure
Agreed.
Although I'm on 18s, running around 38 on the front caused this unbelievably quickly.

It passed an MOT like that but that expensive rubber is fairly well shot & looks shabby.
Now try & keep to 40/45.

Re: Tyre pressure
Have you had your tracking checked? - if it was just tyre pressure that wear would be on both sides.

It doesn't look to be anywhere as bad though.mister munkey wrote:Not the best picture I guess but just nipped out & checked Scanner, insides are scrubbed too.
It could be worth getting the tracking checked - there isn't usually any charge unless they need to adjust it.
