Scavenger Fans

I have just picked up my Bongo, and on the 100 mile drive home the glowplug light started flashing, which according to the handbook is a scavenger fan fault.
I have looked at a previous posting about this and the answer was to bypass the sensor to check the fan and the possibility of there being a separate fuse.

The only problem is I need a bit more detailed description of where the sender and fuse is.
Also is this doing damage while I try to fix it? and are the sender units easy enough to get hold of if broken?

Position of the scavenger fan unit. just unplug to test if fans are working.its under the drivers seat

Thats the radiator fan sensor DBO......is'nt it?

The scavanger fan sensor is by the handbrake, and if i remember right it works the same...... if the engines running and you disconnect the plug the scavenger fan starts, runs for a set time........it does on mine anyway.

that's the sensor Mike at wheelquick said controls both fans, radiator and scavenger. my scavenger fan was not working,we changed this sensor and it is all ok now.
i cut one of the wires from this sensor and fitted a simple on/off switch so i can now turn the scavenger fan on when needed in extreme conditions.
Lost without my Bongo.

The one pictured is for the radiator fans and also sends a signal to the ECU. This also controls the autogearbox changeup until the coolant is warm enough to allow the lockup to come in.
The scavenger fan control is next to the handbrake but is also linked to the ECU.
