New Radiator
Fitted new radiator, unable to get the system hot, top hose hot,
bottom hose cold, is there a bleed nipple?
Cheers Alan.

Re: New Radiator
Are you following the bleeding procedure in the fact sheet? If not, it can take ages for the thermostat to open and the bottom hose to heat up. No bleed nipple, just the bleed tube.grange10 wrote:Fitted new radiator, unable to get the system hot, top hose hot, bottom hose cold, is there a bleed nipple?

The bleed hose is clipped to the chassis rail under the passenger seat.

Re: New Radiator
I fitted a new radiator in early July, I bled my system in a Hybrid manner via Factsheets and Jap Bongo sites, however it worked great........ my Bottom hose only gets what I would call luke warm, It never gets really hot, but then it wouldn't if the radiator was working okay......now my Mason is fitted the temp gauge goes "clock style" to 12:30 on the road and to 1pm in traffic....

Re: New Radiator
Sounds like the stat isn't opening, may be worth sticking a new one in? certainly worth checking it's operation.

Re: New Radiator
Has anyone used one of those vacum refillers on the cooling system? I was thinking of getting one...just wondered if there was any feedback first?
