SOLVED - burning smell from the heating

Post by ninjasmith » Wed Nov 25, 2009 6:06 pm

Hi,

we recently bought a v6 97. I've noticed a burning smell when running the heating. any ideas? possibly related (or maybe not) is that the mode button does not seem to do anything. i.e. it always blows at my face and never my feet or the windscreen?

any thoughts? likely to be serious?

If the Mode button isn't having any effect then it could be as simple as the rods that adjust the flaps, which have a habit of being dislodged as they are located down in the footwells.
See this thread for details.
