if you look at Geoffs earlier post of the circuit diagram, 2 of the fuses are shown with a double squiggly line whilst another has a single line. What is the significance of this?

Ah yes simple when you see it
That's one of the acronym's I've been trying to sort out on the Index pages for the Wiring Manual.

Its the physical type of fuse, the double squiggle is for the larger physical sizes like Mega (8mm) and Midi (5mm) stud sizes, whilst the single squiggle is the Mini/Standard/Maxi blade fuses by the drivers knee.widdowson2008 wrote:if you look at Geoffs earlier post of the circuit diagram, 2 of the fuses are shown with a double squiggly line whilst another has a single line. ISC is usually an Idle Speed Controller
TCM is usually a Transmission Control Module
TCM is usually a Transmission Control Module

Don't know why its NE but its a crankshaft position sensor..........maybe cos its Near the Engine

I think it's a revcounter - probably counting the revs of the crankshaft

I am going to sound like a complete anorak here but:
PRC - Pressure regulator control
TNS - Tail number sidelight
VRIS - Variable resonance intake system
These came from the WL-T service manual - page 16

Brilliant Steve, the only one now outstanding is "Verge" which looks more like a word than an acronym as its the only word translated not in capitals it appears to relate to something on petrol engine versions only on pages 36 and 40

The manual I have (and am working from) is for the 2.5 diesel model so no petrol related stuff.
Is the ECU now in your mitts for a petrol motor?
If they are different, and you need it, I may be able to get a manual for you.
