bleeding frustration....heater controls

Post by wonkanoby » Fri Mar 19, 2010 6:49 pm

spent 45 minutes refilling and bleeding her

just got to point were temp gauge was at 1.pm and she runs out of diesel

but at that point front heater was still blowing cold

rear would cook you

looking under neath at the round thing

you can see the bits moving as you cycle through the settings

but when you mess with temp on it you see nothing

or am i looking in the wrong place

ok the temp control appears to be on passenger side

it moves but the rod seems an odd shape so i wonder if its not moving far enough

my main question now is what needs removing so i can get to touch the heater rad

to see if its getting hot or not

and if its not is there a faq on removing it

Did the links on the FAQ not help at all? are you sure the heater matrix is getting hot? could be blocked or just airlocked? what method are using to bleed?
