Seized Nuts
Just tried to undo my sump plug but it is seized and I am in danger of rounding it off have sprayed penetrating fluid on it. I have a feeling that when it was last serviced a mechanic friend helped me and we used an air gun on it. Obviously I didn't have my Weetabix this morning or a hand held socket is no match for an air gun. Any suggestions please

Use a Pela pump to get the oil out first http://www.pelapumps.co.uk/default.aspx?A10PAGE=PL6000
At least you won't have a sump full of oil if you do any damage trying to get the plug out.

Re: Seized Nuts
If you used an impact wrench to get it on, try the same getting it off? It's the ame as a Ford ranger sump plug, so it's easy enough to get a replacement.
As John said, use a pela pump & you don't need to take it off anyway, it gets it all out, bar a tiny dribble. If you fancy popping down this way you can have a go on my pela

Daz - I've got a Pela pump you can borrow. I used it yesterday for the first time & I was very impressed to find that when I undid the sump plug there was literally only a drop that came out. My sump plug has been badly mangled for quite some time, so I got a new one from Bongobits which I fitted yesterday.

Re: Seized Nuts
I used a 6-sided 19mm socket designed for use on an impact wrench which can be gently hammered over the bolt & then use a 3ft long breaker bar via a swivel joint & extension bars.
