ignition key Problems HELLLLLPP!!!

hello
my ignition key got stuck in the ignition, so i read some of the posts in the forum and managed to release the key by removing the cowal underneath the steering wheel and moving the cable with the eyelet on. this released the key,
but now everytime i put the key in it gets stuck again! and i have to manually release it via the eyelet cable.
anybody any ideas what is going wrong?

Is the key a duplicate, newly cut ,that may cause a problem, might want the edges rubbing down a bit.

A bit of jiggling through the gears with foot on the brake seems to help

its the original key
has anybody stripped down the gear shift?
i think my trouble is ... there is a plastic reciever that recives the gear shift pin when put into park .now this pin seems to go under the reciever . so i think the reciever spring is lost its strenght . but where can i get one of those springs??????
